The Tutorial Process in Problem-Based Learning, by Howard S. Barrows and Helen MacRae (1992) two videotapes. Also available on DVD.  These tapes are designed to prepare the medical teacher for the skills in tutoring a new group. The first tape stops periodically to challenge the viewer with decisions as to what actions should be undertaken by the tutor. An accompanying manual describes the PBL process shown and explains the actions taken by the tutor. Although aimed at the medical teacher, these tapes have been found universally useful to other teachers interested in PBL. $125.00 (U.S.) each (includes shipping in the U.S. only)

The Tutorial Process in Problem-Based Learning II, by Howard S. Barrows and Ann Kelson (2000) three videotapes. Also available on DVD.  These tapes cover the PBL tutorial process more extensively and in more detail. The students are experienced in PBL (second year of the PBL curriculum) and the different role for the tutor with an experienced group is demonstrated. $175.00 (U.S.) each (includes shipping in the U.S. only)
